Inaugural 1997 welcome at ASU by then ASU President Lattie Coor, Founding IHO Director Donald Johanson, former CLAS Dean Gary Krahenbuhl, and IHO Director William Kimbel.

Success in any venture is a step at at time.

In IHO's history, the first step was its founding by Donald Johanson in Berkeley, California, in 1981. The second step was finding a home at Arizona State University  in 1997 to build on its groundbreaking research and outreach reputation with excellence in teaching and educating the next generation of human origins' scientists.

Join IHO friends, faculty, and students for an evening to celebrate the past, savor the present at a fabulous dinner and program, and explore the next steps in the future of the Institute of Human Origins at ASU.
