Prior to joining ASU as a graduate student, Angela received a B.S from Stony Brook University, double majoring in Anthropology and Biology with a specialization in ecology and evolution. Her research background includes bioinformatics and population genetics.
Angela’s current research interests focus around sex-biased demography and sex chromosome variation in contemporary human populations, and characterizing the genetic diversity within human populations in Africa.
Through her research, she hopes to contribute to a better understanding of the processes and events that shape human populations. Angela is jointly advised by Dr. Anne Stone and Dr. Melissa Wilson Sayres.
